Blackfoot Medical Clinic and Dr. Christopher Riley are pleased to welcome Dr. Taylor Johansen, as Bingham County’s newest General Surgeon. He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis Missouri. Dr. Johansen had the honor of achieving both chief intern and chief resident during his surgical residency.
Dr. Johansen’s surgical interests include laparoscopic and open gall bladder surgery, hernia, anti-reflux and appendectomy surgery, non surgical hemorrhoid treatment, breast disease, endocrine surgery, hernia surgery, skin lesions and skin cancer, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy and polypectomy, evaluation and treatment of esophageal reflux.
Dr. Johansen and his wife Nikki have 3 girls and 1 boy. They love the west having been raised in the Rocky Mountains, enjoy hunting, outdoor activities and spending time together as a family. They are excited to be in Blackfoot and look forward to serving the patients of Southeast Idaho.
