Dr. MiKinlay was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. He graduated from BYU and attended medical school at the University of Washington. He then completed a family practice residency at Wyoming Family Practice, Casper, Wyoming. He has been affiliated with the Blackfoot Medical Center for 15 years.
In family medicine, Dr. McKinlay seeks the satisfaction that comes with knowing a patient over time and in becoming familiar with the full constellation of factors, which influence the patients health and well being. His practice includes the health supervision of the family including; pregnancy, children and adolescents, and the care of the elderly.
Dr. McKinlay and his wife Dana are the parents of six children, two boys and four girls, and the proud grandparents of three grandchildren. In his free time, Dr. McKinlay and his family enjoy many outdoor activities and spending time together as a family.
