Doug Gilbert, M.S., F.N.P.

Doug Gilbert, M.S., F.N.P.Doug was born and raised in Virginia, Idaho, where he graduated from Marsh Valley High School. Following High School graduation he accepted an athletic scholarship to play football at Boise State University. Doug later returned to Southeast Idaho and graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelors degree in nursing. He started his nursing career at Bannock Regional Medical Center and became one of the original twelve members of Idaho’s first life flight program.

Doug returned to ISE and received his Masters of Science degree in Nursing Education followed by a post Masters Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He has been affiliated with the Blackfoot Medical Center since May 7, 1997, providing primary care to patients and their families.

Doug married the former Dianne Stapley from Kanah, Utah and they have six children, four girls and two boys. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, golf, camping and traveling. His greatest enjoyment comes from being with his wife and family and enjoys his free time with them.
